Two in three UAE residents still plan to buy a home despite price concerns
Property Finder survey reveals stable demand throughout September and October 2025
DUBAI – Property Finder’s latest Market Pulse report for September and October 2025 shows that home-buying intent across the UAE remains strong, with 69% of residents planning to purchase property within the next six months.
The findings continue the momentum seen in July and August, suggesting sustained confidence in the market. The consumer sentiment poll indicates that demand remains robust even as expectations surrounding future pricing shift slightly between the two months.
A closer look at the data shows a subtle change in sentiment. While 40% of respondents now expect property prices to decrease, interest in purchasing remains high. At the same time, 32% anticipate price increases and 29% foresee stable prices. The figures suggest that buyers are not waiting for significant drops, maintaining long-term confidence in the UAE’s property sector.
What changed?
Breaking down the month-by-month data, 70% of respondents in September expressed an intention to buy within six months, followed by 68% in October. Despite the slight decrease, overall demand remains high. The October sample was notably larger, with 3,313 respondents compared with 2,987 in September, offering deeper insight into consumer sentiment.
In September, 39% of residents expected prices to fall, 33% anticipated increases and 28% predicted stability. By October, the proportions shifted marginally to 40%, 31% and 29%, respectively. The light adjustments highlight a market where buyers balance optimism with measured caution.
How are buyers responding?
Cherif Sleiman, Chief Revenue Officer at Property Finder, said the latest findings show that UAE buyers are approaching the market with confidence and thoughtfulness. He noted that while expectations around pricing continue to adjust, buyers are still proceeding with their plans, reflecting a market that values timing and affordability rather than waiting for large fluctuations. According to him, the trend signals trust in the long-term stability of the UAE’s real estate landscape.
